Daytime Pc5 geomagnetic pulsations during October 2003 magnetic storms

We present the results of the detail analysis of the unusual strong daytime Pc5 geomagnetic pulsations observed during the storm recovery phase on October, 29 and 31, 2003. The analysis was based on the ground magnetic observations from about 80 globally distributed stations of INTERMAGNET, Scandinavia IMAGE meridian chain, and SAMNET network. The pulsation pick-to-pick amplitudes reached up to ~600 nT. The spectral maximum of the wave was observed in the Pc5 range of frequencies: 2-5 mHz (T ~ 3-6 min). The amplitude space distribution plots (magnetic keograms) have been computed in the co-ordinates of geomagnetic latitude - magnetic local time. The difference of the morphological properties and ground locality of Pc5 pulsations on October, 29 and on October, 31 is showed. The possible nature of the observed waves is discussed.
