Results of detecting ionospheric response of solar extreme events of 2003 on GPS data

On the basis of regular pseudorange and phase measurements some ionosphere parameters were determined. In particular the complete electron contents TEC and velocity of its change on a 30-second interval of observation were analyzed. For study of the ionospheric response to direct geomagnetic effect extreme events which took place on the Sun in October-November 2003 the stations of a global network GPS, located in different time zones were used. The data of measurements, which were used for the analysis of influence of such a powerful flare on the Earth ionosphere, were obtained from Internet at the followingaddress: ftp://lox.ucsd.edu/pub/rinex/. These data have allowed to estimate influence of the solar flare on the ionosphere for different regions of the Earth.
